Republicans are, without a doubt, the definition of duplicity due to their opposition to voter rights. They wrap themselves in the American Flag; spout verses from the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and phrases such as “We came unarmed… this time”; “Ballet or bullets… We want our Country back;”’ and “Today I’m exercising my First Amendment, tomorrow It will by my Second Amendment.” They freely admit that voter rights are the pinnacles of American rights, and they freely and publicly admitted that voter fraud is practically non-existent. Yet, Republicans are doing everything possible to prevail in the elections by enacting voter suppression laws.
No doubt Romney will rush to war at the expense of the nations 47% that he finds disgusting. They are more likely to be in the forefront of battle than his five sons and all others in his family. Of which, none are, or have ever served in the military. The declared purpose is to bring freedom and voter rights in other nations. Yet, in America, Romney and his Republicans cohorts will continue to do everything possible to prevent the 47% from voting. As, voter suppression is necessary for them to remain in office.
Venerable people nationwide find it reprehensible that the deciding judges took leave of their fiduciary obligations by agreeing to scuttle voter rights. They should have followed the example of the Supreme Court put it in its 1966 decision upholding the constitutionality of the 1965 Voting Rights Act: “After enduring nearly a century of systematic resistance to the Fifteenth Amendment, Congress might well decide to shift the advantage of time and inertia from the perpetrators of the evil to its victims”.

Actually, three articles encouraged me to write this. One was about a veteran U.S. citizen who served in the Pacific during WW II. He was initially prevented from voting due to lack of birth documents. Such obstacles made it difficult for him to register to vote. Considering the unimagined horror he faced on behalf of this country, he should not had to endure voter suppression. The second article was about “head tax” which required citizens in many locations in the country to pay a tax when voting or for each child born to receive a birth certificate. Though the amount was small (about, 50 cent to $1.50), many people were starving during 1930’s and 40’s. And, they did not pay for that reason. Also, landlords charged more rent when a person had more children. That is the reason why many people do not have birth certificates. The head tax (which is also called Poll tax) was imposed on all poor people, and was vigorously enforced when a poor person hinted at voting for the opposition. Here is the kicker, records indicate that wealthy individuals did not pay the Poll tax in many locations. I can not believe that people who agree with voter supression are “brain dead.” They lack compassion for their fellow citizens. And, truth be told, they are not venerable people.

Actually, I am spending more time working on my favorite charity and my daughter’s house. As far as the brain dead visitors, it reminds me of an old farmer’s joke: A young boy’s job was tending to his parent’s farm animals. One day he complains to his father how dumb the farm animals were, as the boy was almost in tears. Dad attempted to console his son by telling him “you haven’t been to town yet have you son. Next time I go, I’ll show you real dumb😄
